What is officially confirmed
Steam and TEAM HORAY describe six distinct weapon styles with more than 50 unique upgrades for each style.
Solis Iubar and Minigun are named in the official 1.0.23 update notes.
Six community catalog families
These labels were found in the inspected weapon directory and are useful for search and route navigation. They are not presented as a verbatim official taxonomy.
Sword & Shield
Route example: Rapier into Flashing Rapier. Evaluate defensive timing and attack commitment in your current version.
Greatsword
A readable beginner guide calls it approachable, but that remains player advice rather than an official rank.
Dagger
Route example: Lightning Dagger into Lightning's Wrath. Test status uptime before critical scaling.
Crossbow
Route example: Colossal Crossbow through Unstable Lightning Mark into Minigun.
Blade
The two reference directories are not fully consistent on Blade versus Katana naming; verify the current English UI.
Quarterstaff
Route example: Quarterstaff into Javelin and Formless Dance.
Choose by actions, not a tier label
Test the base actions
Compare range, attack commitment, special action and defensive response in a safe room.
Inspect the offered upgrade path
A family is useful only when the current run offers upgrades and inventory support you can activate.
Keep one fallback
Do not destroy a working base loop while waiting for a named final evolution.
What this directory does not claim
It does not copy a claimed complete count, exact weapon stats, unlock locations or a tier list from either reference site. Those require current local-game evidence or an official data source.
